The Next Four Years

Monday, February 3, 2025 (Updated: Monday, September 21, 2026)

Moving forward, I’m not sure how often I will post here. I’ve asked myself if at the end of the next four years if I will regret spending a lot of time here or regret not spending a lot of time here. I lean strongly toward regretting spending too much time here.

The next four years are important for our family in multiple ways. I must choose carefully where to spend my time each day. There is so much going on right now in the Trump administration that keeping up and trying to write about it would take a couple of hours a day at a minimum. In the end, I really don’t have that kind of time. I would prefer to spend the time I do have on my main website if I am going to invest time in online work.

I have dramatically cut back my social media time this year. It was one of my goals and I have followed through. I skim quickly on Gab, Truth Social, and Twitter/X to see what is going on and that’s it. I might reshare a few things, but I’m pretty much cutting that out as well. My brain and heart need a break from all of the drama and conflict. This is another reason why I don’t see myself continuing to invest time here. I have a pretty good idea of what is about to unfold over the next year or two. I am not interested in following it blow by blow let alone writing about it. My spirit is weary and needs peace and wholesome things to think about. Hence, the reason to invest in my main website.

I would encourage you to check out the people I follow on Twitter/X. I only follow 75 people. Some of them are online and real life acquaintances, but most of them I have carefully selected because they are insightful truth tellers. A few of them I follow because they are good at retweeting excellent information. If you want any specific recommendations, feel free to leave a comment and ask.

I made the decision to leave this website here for now. There may be something I want to comment on at some point. Posting once a month or so will at least let Google know I haven’t abandoned it. Or I may decide at some point to take it down. I don’t know and I’m not forcing myself to make a decision right now.

The newsletter option continues to be available so if I do write anything, I can let people know in that way.

So that’s what I’m thinking at the moment. I hope that is helpful moving forward.

I totally understand! I have cut back on my social media and news as well. I hope to take steps towards a business and use some social media for that.

    Thank you for everything!
