Homeschooling provides families the unique opportunity to tailor their child’s education to her learning style and challenges. For our family, this includes the ability to work around our daughter’s dyscalculia. We know it is dyscalculia because we had her tested for gifted/2e.
In our home, we are homeschooling a child with slow processing speed. In her specific case, it is of both the visual and auditory varieties. We’ve known this for several years and have implemented many accommodations along with way.
To say I’ve been in a little bit of an existential crisis regarding our homeschooling choices for high school would be somewhat accurate. A reader wrote and asked if I had written about our high school choices because she couldn’t find anything.
That’s because there isn’t anything yet about our plans.
Happy Monday evening! I didn’t forget about this post. It simply took me some time to get to it today. Partially this was due to the fact that I had things to do that included deadlines. Part of it was due to a child who needed extra mom and dad today.
