I remembered this bicentennial vinyl record today from my childhood and I’m so glad I did. “Our Country ‘Tis Of Thee” – A Musical History of Our Country From John Smith to The Present (1976) was produced by Peter Pan Records as part of their Bicentennial Series. July 4, 2026 is a great day to listen to this LP again.

I put it on and immediately started singing along. I probably haven’t listened to it in 30 or more years. But the songs are that catchy.

What a fun way to remember the bicentennial celebrations when I was only nine years old.

If you want to hear it, I found a copy on YouTube and embedded it below. Maybe you will remember it from your childhood as well?
