I think I spent around 8 hours yesterday working on Pinterest. I've barely touched it in 4 or 5 years which is an eternity on that platform.
Love it, hate it, or both - ChatGPT helped me do probably 2 weeks worth of work in that 8 hours.
It helped me determine which boards to keep, which ones to rename, which new ones to add, and the order to put them in based on my website content, store products, and goals.
It wrote the board descriptions for my main 47 boards. They might not be absolutely perfect as I would write them, but they are done and working for me now. And 85% is better than 0% right now.
It critiqued my new pin designs and updated me on pinning strategies such as timing, types, and group boards.
Love it or hate it, AI is incredibly helpful for some tasks. In the past two and a half days, I've easily done a month's worth of work. Yes, a month's work of work. That is how much it can help me do things.
Like many writers and business owners, I've struggle to decide how much to use AI. If my goal is to help as many homeschool moms as quickly as possible, then using AI with some tasks helps me meet that goal literally months earlier than I would alone.
So does AI fit with simple living? Yes, I think it can.

I thought about this some more while I was making breakfast.
One, this kind of pace keeps demoralization away. When you can see you are making progress on a huge project, it motivates you to keep going. It gives me energy rather than making me feel like I've taken on a task I can never complete. That is how this website has felt before I could use AI.
Two, using AI for many tasks keeps away decision fatigue. I've written about decision fatigue. It's real and can derail any complicated project. Just having ChatGPT give me guidance on all the things to do with my Pinterest boards probably saved me literally 500 decisions. I overrode a few of its suggestions, but overall I felt it gave me solid guidance.
