For the past couple of months, I've been watching videos about the state of things in China. There are probably three or four YouTube channels I watch the most. They take different approaches to it. 

If even half of what they are reporting is true, China is in the process of collapsing in multiple ways. Real estate, marriage, birth rates, work incentives, manufacturing, outside investments, etc. 

But what has struck me is the level of natural disasters that are relentlessly hitting that country. Some of them are made worse by poor infrastructure management such as a complete lack of any real drainage system. Much of the infrastructure work done is shoddy beyond belief because it is a culture that basically encourages stealing funds from large projects. Because of that, they cut corners constantly. 

From what I have read and watched, the collapse of the Three Gorges Dam is a matter of when and not if. The Chinese government has done studies of what would happen in the minutes, hours, and days following the collapse of that dam. It is mind-boggling. It was something like 150,000,000 people would be impacted. The death toll is hard to imagine. Then add on the disease, loss of crops, transportation system destruction, etc. 

On top of that, they have brazenly lied about their population total for decades. There are incentives at every level from local to the top to lie about the numbers. They have hidden all of their covid death numbers. 

So while people think that they have so many people that even losing many wouldn't make much of a dent, that's not the case. There are far fewer Chinese than we are led to believe.

All that to say, I have really started to wonder over the past month if China is under judgment from God. 

The situation in Nepal just magnifies what I've already been contemplating.
