Happy Monday! Those of you further south are probably already thinking about spring arriving in the next few weeks. I sold one of my Spring Literacy and Math Packs yesterday and thought, “Already? We just got our first real dumping of snow!” But then I remembered I’ve seen pictures of pansies on blogs written in the south during February and that’s not far away.
In any case, whether you are planning your spring cleaning or are settled in for three more months of winter, let’s set a couple of goals this week to bring peace to our home and loved ones. If you are new to my site, you can find lots of inspiration in it as well in A Quiet Simple Life Planner and Guidebook.
Over the weekend, I finished a goal from week nine. I completed my linen closet clean out and it looks wonderful. So here are my goals for this week.
Goal 1 – Finish washing up all of the old sheets and research how I would like to repurpose them. I’ve found all sorts of good ideas in addition to wanting to make a rag rug. I don’t plan on starting anything this week other than washing and researching. I found so many good ideas I might put them into a post at some point.
Goal 2 – Continue cleaning out my clothes and shoes, washing things up and organizing. I made good progress last week.
Goal 3 – Continue organizing and systematizing our digital clip art, papers, borders, stock photos, fonts, etc. David and I never developed a good system for this over the fifteen plus years we’ve been working together on websites and products. He’s downloaded much of it since he does the actual design work. At the same time, I have things on my computer that he doesn’t have. And he’s downloaded things that I have completely forgotten about. I started working on this in November and then Thanksgiving, Caroline sick, Sallie sick, Christmas, etc. happened so I never got back to it. I’m going to keep going this week. I’m organizing all of it and then we will have it in one shared location where we can easily find and share things. If I’m going to meet Goal 17 in 2020 and build on that new skill, then we need to get this done.
So that’s what I hope to tackle this week. What do you have planned? Goals can be tiny or big or in-between – whatever works for your week and life situation. Leave a comment and then come back on Friday to tell us how it went!
