Hi Peggy! Thank you for the update. I've been wondering how you were doing. I'm glad you are getting answers for that situation.

Hi Sallie and friends!
I have been radio silent lately and have not been able to keep up or even visit lately. We have known for a while that we would be taking my parents into our home when they got to the point of needing more help. This last year has been the notice I needed to get progressing forward on that plan. My original goal was to have our house on the market by March, move into their basement and work on cleaning out their house while looking for a new house where we could all live together and not kill each other. 😉 Well, it's now May and we are still trying to get our house decluttered, repaired, and cleaned enough to list. After almost 20 years in one place, the accumulation is staggering! 🙂 We have made so much progress, but it has been slower than I ever imagined. Just getting a handyman to return a phone call has been a trial. Apparently, we have small enough jobs that no one wants to take a day or two to do them, even if we would pay well!
In any case, I am seeing some light at the end of the tunnel for our house and we told our realtor that our current goal is to have it ready to list within 3 weeks! I hope the housing "bubble" lasts at least that long and that we are able to sell quickly and for a good price. Even in our small rural town, the houses have been selling within a week and quite often after a bidding war that takes it over the asking price. It would be nice if that happened for us too!
Once we do get our house sold, then we get to start on my parents' house. They are pack rats, so it's going to be interesting, but hopefully it will be easier to let go of other people's junk than my own. 🙂
I check in every once in a while when I get a few minutes to sit down. I think of you often and continue to keep you in my prayers. 🙂 I can't read it all just yet, but some day things might slow down enough so that I can get back into the swing of things again.
I hope you had a nice break and can return rested and refreshed.

@amanda Hi Amanda! Good to hear from you. Thank you for the update. I had noticed you were quiet as well so it's nice to know you are okay. I hope the rest of the housing puzzle comes together for you as you are hoping. That's a lot of pieces to juggle!
Thank you for the kind thoughts and prayers. They are appreciated! {yellow}
