India's Hindu Nationalists just supercharged the country's forced conversion ban laws.

Key notes: Sharing the bible, Christian theology, teaching or a testimony online is now considered trying to forcibly convert people.

Under the amendment, all “wilful” conversions must now be approved by the State through an inquiry.

The outcome of the assessment is entirely at the discretion of local authorities.

And there is no avenue for appeal if a conversion is determined to be illegal.

Worse. The burden of proof will now be on the accused, not on the accuser.

Proving “a conversion is not unlawful, will lie on the person who has caused the conversion and other persons who facilitated it.”

5 years in prison and hefty fines will be handed down to anyone who fails to declare their conversion with the state, or fails to prove the conversion was legal.

Asymmetric warfare.

India is trying to make converting to Christianity illegal. Under a new bill proposed by Rajasthan (a state controlled by Narendra Modi's Hindu extremist party BJP), sharing the Bible, teaching Christianity online and more will be considered "forcible conversion" and all conversions must be approved by the government. Failing to register your conversion with the state will be punishable with a five-year prison sentence.

These are not the actions of a faith that feels confident in its ability to survive. Hindu nationalists are trying to ban conversion because "Hinduism" is a fraud invented by the British and propped up by the Indian state, and when people are given a choice, they choose to convert to Christianity or Islam, as was the case when the British East India Company came to India centuries ago and Islam and Sikhism had almost taken over the subcontinent.

Think about it; the "Hindu" caste system is one of the most wretched social organization systems ever conceived. It's like a cartoonish, hallucinogen-fueled version of Marx's conception of capitalist society. Why would anyone who wasn't in the highest caste willingly participate in it? History has shown time and time again that when Indians are given the choice, they leave "Hinduism" in droves.

And the Christian conservative Republicans who profess their love of family values are completely silent on their Indian buddies' suppression of Christianity. Where is Greg Abbott or Brian Kemp or any of these other Southern fried frauds?
