Another post from the archives of my now-closed politics and culture blog. This was originally published September 19, 2019. This was just one year ago. Look where we are now on the anti-white male and anti-white Christian male narrative that Joy Reid pushes in the second video. In one year.
When women say they don’t consider themselves feminists, they are usually treated to one of two things. First, they will receive an intense lecture about all the good the early feminists did and how privileged they are to stand there and not call themselves a feminist when those women sacrificed so much.
Second, they are lectured on the evils of toxic masculinity and how men are the sole source of every problem in our country going back to the very founding of the U.S.A. The ignorant women who don’t call themselves feminists are enabling this horrible evil by not calling out and hating on men, especially straight white men and, specifically, straight white Christian men. (If you think this is hyperbole, keep reading for video examples below.)
The problem with those arguments is that women today know exactly what feminism is because we are told constantly. Feminism today is about elevating women and denigrating men. It’s about both. Anyone who believes that feminism today is solely about empowering women is seriously misinformed.
Feminism today is about retribution on men while elevating women.
Elizabeth Warren held a rally this week and she clearly articulated this view.
Laura Ingraham did a monologue this week about the war on men. She makes some good points and has some helpful clips if you want to watch the entire thing. But I’ve cued it up to the real gold nugget in the entire thing. It is one clip of Joy Reid from MSNBC that is absolutely unbelievable.
South Africa? Are you kidding me? And yet how many people will believe what Reid said?
Every time someone tells me it doesn’t matter who wins the next presidential, senate, and congressional elections because there is no difference between the two parties, I know they are uniformed. If you truly believe that the country isn’t going to look any different if Trump gets re-elected or one of these Democrat candidates wins, you need to do more research.
These two parties and platforms could not be more different and that’s becoming more evident each passing day.
I’m not a feminist and I have no problem saying that. I am not interested in being at war with men. I’m not interested in hating men.
And I’m especially not interested in someone running the country who despises my husband, my father, my brother, my nephews, and other men I love and appreciate.
