From the fount of communist wisdom that is Berkeley, we have Jackson Kernion. This instructor who influences young minds on a daily basis believes that rural Americans as a group are bad people who have made bad life decisions. He also infers that they are stupid, nostalgic, and worthy of being shamed. Their crime? Not being pro-city and having the audacity to believe that life in rural America is somehow worthwhile and productive.

The text of his now deleted tweets stated:

I unironically embrace the bashing of rural Americans. They, as a group, are bad people who have made bad life decisions. Some, I assume are good people. But this nostalgia for some imagined pastoral way of life is stupid and we should shame people who aren’t pro-city.

He then deleted the original tweet and wrote a follow-up:

Pretty sure I did a bad tweet here. Gonna delete it. I’ll want to reflect on it more later, but my tone is way crasser and mean than I like to think I am.

No, that original tweet probably revealed exactly who you are and what you think of rural Americans. You have revealed the thoughts of many of the coastal elites who despise rural America, flyover country, and anyone who chose to vote for President Trump. You think yourself incredibly smart, but have only revealed your ignorance of the country you live in and the people who help make it work.

The only bad decision rural Americans appear to have made is shipping food to your city, Mr. Kermion, so you don’t die of starvation. But that’s the problem with rural people. They care about supporting their family and their neighbors so they wouldn’t choose to purposefully starve you, even when you despise them, ridicule their way of life, and would apparently go out of your way to bash and shame them.

They will continue to feed you. What you would do to them if given the opportunity is far more disturbing to consider.

This story reminded me of this guy who didn’t know what farms looked like.

These are the people who want to abolish the Electoral College because they “feel” it is “unfair” that people in the middle of the country impact what goes on in our elections. They don’t even understand how they get their food from vast portions of our country and yet they think a few states with high population density should control everything.

Imagine if these people truly took control of our country.
