It's clearly about control and seems so obvious.  Yet I am consistently the only person not wearing a mask as I go about my day -- shopping, going to the dentist, into the office, etc...  

I feel like I'm being so rude by not wearing one -- but at the same time I just can't bring myself to participate in this madness.  I keep hoping I'm helping other people gain the courage to take them off.  But today as I dashed into Tropical Smoothie Cafe to pick up my lunch (maskless) a young woman berated me.

So my question for your forum readers is:  how many people out there are wearing masks?  Do you feel like you're being rude by not wearing one?  I'd like to hear what others are doing.  I live in a very populous suburban area about an hour outside of DC.  LOTS of Biden voters.

(I have a longer answer, but I'm trying to remember. Ohio or Indiana comes to mind, but that may be wrong.)

Oh, yes. One of the other states with insane people setting policies (like Michigan where I am).

Honestly, I think at least half of the people would not wear masks except they don't want to get berated by someone who is losing their mind due to all of the fear mongering. 

This psy-op (and that is what this all is) has been so damaging psychologically. We're not surrounded by fairly normal people any longer. There are a lot of people who have been truly adversely impacted by all of this emotionally and psychologically.

Now there is a push to shun people who haven't gotten the jab. That is not going to end well. 

There has to be a major wake-up call to snap people out of it. I'm not sure what it will be. Some people are so messed up over this situation that even if Fauci stands up and admits it was all a lie or all overblown I'm not sure they can process the information and act on the truth. 

You aren't being rude. You are telling the truth. Masks don't work and there is massive factual proof of it all over for anyone willing to look. 

@amypinva Are you seeing more non-mask wearers now? David and Caroline went to Lowe's yesterday and saw many more people without masks.

It's a real conundrum for the fervent maskers with the new guidance.
