Yes, I live in Michigan. It's a wonderful state with a reputation being trashed by the current governor.

Yes, that is the governor of my state out there making a big deal out of banning medicine, threatening doctors, and then begging for it two days later.

This is the state where it is now ILLEGAL to sell vegetable seeds. Yes, you read that correctly. People cannot buy seeds to plant their gardens and feed themselves.

Today Dear Leader Whitmer tweeted out this to a state that has been told that we're not supposed to leave our home, we are not allowed to travel to another property we might own in the state, and that is suffering from massive unemployment.

She tells people to GO VOLUNTEER and GIVE MONEY.

You can't leave your home to buy garden seeds to feed yourself and your family, but go volunteer.

And good news, folks. The Democrats are pushing for her to be Biden's running mate.

You can buy your marijuana, but not garden seeds.

BTW... That's partially why she got elected. She ran as the Democrat during the vote on legalizing weed.

From the article:

Sprinkled throughout Facebook, officials are saying they won’t ticket landscaping companies because they fall under the essential category of general health and welfare.

“When it gets tall, you have mice, rats,” Fouts said.

Some landscaping companies have tried to put together a “best practices” list for the industry during the COVID-19 restrictions.

Fouts said this isn’t about landscaping beautification, flower planting or improving curb appeal. He said when it comes to cutting grass, treating lawns for insects and vermin and basic grass management, he and other leaders consider landscaping essential.

The question now is whether Whitmer will issue a public clarification to allow landscaping and lawn companies in the coming days as the grass continues to grow.

I think so many of these restrictions are made without thinking them through completely. In Indiana, our governor really overstepped by putting out an executive order about religious services. This, right before Easter. 🙁 Many of our churches have voluntarily moved services online, but his order legally requires churches and religious buildings to close their doors. He also gives requirements for churches who wanted to do drive-in services and limits the communion provisions to only prepackaged items. In essence, he is restricting churches even more than he has other services. I have elderly parents who are in the high risk category, and my husband is also high risk due to his medical issues. I understand the need to protect them, but I feel that we cannot trample our constitutional rights in order to do so. I am ready for this to all be over. 🙁
