I saw this earlier this morning and it honestly made me so sad. We knew this was likely, but this is even worse than I expected. It's simply catastrophic. It's beyond words in how horrible it is.

A friend's husband pointed out that normally after stay-at-home events (blizzards, ice storm, etc.) there is a small baby boom. There was none. If there was a boom, it was absorbed by whatever else is happening here. In that case, these numbers are even worse than they look at first glance.
