Happy Friday, Friends! I hope your Christmas preparations and celebrations are going well. We’ve had a quiet week at home since Caroline and I are both still feeling rather slow. I called her doctor’s nurseline to ask about the virus going around since Caroline was still complaining of headaches, even after going to the chiropractor. The nurse said it takes weeks (!) to really bounce back from this one and unless we’re running a moderately high temperature for three days in a row, there is nothing else to do but wait it out. So three to four weeks of this.
Because of this, my week was not as productive as I expected. It rarely takes me this long to bounce back from a cold. But we keep plugging along and get a little bit done each day.
So how did I do with my goals for the week?
Goal 1 was to finish Christmas shopping and wrap gifts. I have most of my shopping done and most of what I’ve purchased wrapped. I still need stocking stuffers, but haven’t even wanted to go to Meijer because of my coughing and tiredness. So I need to either decide to go to Meijer or place one last order on Amazon and be done with it.
Goal 2 was to send out Christmas cards. Most of them are done and sitting on my desk. I’m going to finish them this morning and have David take them to the post office.
Goal 3 was to make the two kinds of Christmas treats Caroline and David requested (later in the week). I haven’t done this yet. Maybe we will make one on Saturday and one on Sunday since I have all the ingredients for them.
So how was your week? How are you managing all the excitement in your home?
