You can't.

The same Calvinists who "hope" they are saved and say so openly, can also only "hope" they have the Holy Spirit living in them. 

This is not what the Bible teaches.

Dig into the Word and see what God tells us about the Holy Spirit in the life of His child.

Hello. I am new to this site and hope I follow the comment rules appropriately.  I was saved (believed on the Lord Jesus Christ and the Blood atonement for my sins) a few years ago.  Finally got the courage to attend a Baptist church and even did my research to make sure it was not a reformed or calvinist church.  Nothing on the website points to calvinism.  After a year of attending this church I can not deny my convictions.  The pastor is constantly giving quotes from popular calvinist preachers of today and names former calvinist theologians without ever using the term "calvinist".  The pastor preaches from the KJV but a very telling sign for me is that every single piece of literature, (tracts, pamphlets) on display are from Crossway publishing and provides a website to the ESV site and is authored by known Calvinist preachers.  Everyone at the church seems to be highly educated and I never hear anything about struggles with the old man or the flesh or backsliding or if one does backslide they were probably never saved to begin with.  I get this "holier than though" feeling every week, and I knew something wasn't right.  I do believe I need to find another church to attend and thankfully I never became a member.  This should make it easier to just stop attending.

I will not give up grace merely because carnal men abuse grace. Nor will I give up eternal security because carnal men exploit it and use it as a license to sin.

The fact is, men use Arminianism as a license for sin too. They don't have to repent today because they can always repent tomorrow.

In forty-five years of experience, I have observed that eternal security gives men better ground for gaining victory over sin and going to higher ground. They don't get discouraged and give up.
