I so enjoy looking at before and after pictures of house exteriors.  How about this one?  Or this one?

I definitely have to try to make this playdough that conducts electricity from The Quilted Turtle: Conductive Playdough Recipe

Can we figure out a way to do this as cheaply? Screen in Your Deck Easily and Inexpensively from Between Naps on the Porch (Thanks to Christian for getting me to this inspiring, new-to-me blog!)

The Scale of the Universe – This is a fascinating little thing to play with!  Show it to your children if you have them.  Homeschool time!

    Sallie,

I looked at the house before and after photos and I have to say that the only people who paint brick are those who have obviously never had the job of trying to get paint OFF a brick. I think it takes about 100 times more work to take it off then to paint it on. I am all for curb appeal though. Thanks for the links though! I loved the screened in porch. Brilliant!

  2. I know about the brick. I’ve always been told to never paint brick. But sometimes you have to do what you have to do. Once it is on there, though, you’re pretty much going to have painted brick the rest of your life.

I love that screened in porch idea. I’ve already started looking at screens everywhere I go, but haven’t seen anything even remotely approaching that cost. Caroline and I both hate bugs, so something like that would be ideal. Fresh air and no creepy crawlies…
